Namibia has been described by many as the most magical country on earth. Nowhere are you likely to find a place that will have a more lasting effect in your memory.
Namibia offers a scenic beauty like no other with places such as Sossusvlei, home to the world’s highest dunes, towering over of the landscape like big mountain ranges and Etosha National Park which offers a unique safari experience not to be missed. Enjoy flood-lit waterholes for day and night game viewing of some of the Big Five but also rare animals such as the Black Faced Impala, only found in Namibia.
This country not only boasts the oldest plant and desert in the world, but also has the world’s second largest canyon, the Fish River Canyon which is a must see option on any itinerary which includes Southern Namibia. The Caprivi Strip in the north eastern corner, like northern Botswana offers excellent game viewing with perennial rivers like the Okavango, Kwando, Chobe and Zambezi attracting a host of animals and birds.
Lastly a visit to Damaraland is an absolute must, especially for those visitors who have been on safari before and seen elephants enjoying on a feast trees and bushes. The famous Desert Elephants of Damaraland and Koakoveld are unique compared to their cousins in Etosha and elsewhere in Africa in that they have a tendency not to destroy trees and bushes in order to preserve food sources in this dry arid area of Namibia.
Namibia is best explored if you have time on your hands and want an experience that will stay with you forever!
