• Pool: An expansive central pool with bridge to bar accommodates relaxation and games.
• Watersports: (Available from the Hotel and La Pirogue) Windsurfing, water-skiing, pedal-boats, kayaks, snorkelling and glass-bottomed boat trips.
• Land based Sports: Floodlit tennis courts, aerobics and yoga classes, badminton, bocci-ball, croquet, giant chess, mini-golf, table tennis and volleyball situated at the Hotel or La Pirogue. Preferential rates for the 18-hole Championship Ile aux Cerfs golf course at Le Touessrok are also offered.
• Spa & Fitness: The Spa comprises both single and couples treatment rooms and also has a dedicated Shiatsu treatment area. For the ultimate therapy try the deluxe Hammam treatments. A fully equipped hairdressing salon is also located in this area (treatments for a charge).

Bars & Restaurants

Please note a credit will be given to guests on Half-board not dining in the main restaurant in the evening which usually covers the cost of a main course:

• Mon Plaisir Restaurant main restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and elegant table d’hote dinners or speciality themed buffets with live cooking stations on the indoor and outdoor dining terraces.
• The elegant Citronella’s Cafe serves light meals by the ocean side at lunchtime, whilst the finest Mediterranean cuisine is prepared in the evening.
• Located close to the beach at neighbouring sister property La Pirogue, Paul & Virginie restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, specialises in fresh fish and seafood grills.
• The Plantation Bar is open until late, offering pool side refreshments and snacks, speciality cocktails and evening entertainment.
• La Rhumerie opens in the late evening, providing a quiet venue for aperitifs, after-dinner rums, liqueurs and cigars.

Overview

The resort offers good value considering standards for those wishing to share a room with 2 children under 12 or 1 under 18, as this is possible in a Standard Room type or an upgrade to new 2 bedroom family unit for up to 2 adults and 3 children under 18 with host of special amenities for kids is now also possible. Acres of space in the gardens and on the beach and extensive children’s club make the resort an ideal option for an active family.

Looking after younger guests

• Goodies basket on arrival.
• Toys and facilities of the extensive ‘Sun Kids Club’ , including children’s swimming pool, available during opening hours (please see below).
• Range of practical items from Children’s bathrobes and bath products to night lights and bathroom steps placed in the Family Units.

Children’s Meals

• Children’s Menu available at the restaurants, ‘Sun Kids Club’ and by room service.
• During busy periods, an evening children’s buffet is also served in the ‘Sun Kids Club’ .
• Bespoke Meals available on request.

Babysitting & Supervised activities

• Babysitting: Provided for a charge.
• Organised In-House Activities: The ‘Hansel & Gretel House’ themed ‘Sun Kids Club’ , complimentary for guests age 4 – 11 years, is open from 9.30 am to 9.30 pm, with a short break before dinner. Supervised activities, divided in to age ranges, take place at the Club and throughout the hotel. Please note younger children can join in, but must be accompanied by a parent or paid-for babysitter.

Rooms types

258 bright and airy rooms, styled on the planation theme of the resort, are located within the ‘Manor House’ or ‘Pavillions’. All are air conditioned with mini bar, tea/coffee making facilities and sea-views.

Standard Rooms (40 square metres) are located in the Manor House or Sea-view Pavillions on the ground floor, whilst Superior Rooms are of the same size and layout but located only 30 metres from the beach.

Family

• A number of Standard Rooms have two queen size beds are thus ideal for accommodating up to 2 adults and 2 children under 12.
• There are a number of new interconnecting ground-floor rooms also available for families of up to 2 adults and 3 children under 18 wishing to book two bedrooms in both the Standard and Superior Room categories. Kids rooms are supplied with amenities including children’s bathrobes and bath products, kid sized pillows and night lights!

Rates

Rates from £110 per adult per night inclusive of half-board in a Standard Room (based on 08/05/10 – 31/07/10).

Family

• Child aged 0 – 2 years free of charge.
• Children age 3 – 11 years from £47 per night.
• Children age 12 – 17 years from £63 per night.
• Children in their own room (not part of a Family Unit) receive a discount of 25% (excluding Peak Season).
